We're looking for a creative, self-directed Social Media Coordinator to manage content for Hope Edelman, bestselling author and grief support guide for women who've lost their mothers. You'll work within established brand guidelines to develop and execute a content plan that reflects Hope's warm, relational voice and visual identity. This is a contractor role reporting directly to the Marketing Director at Sprout Creative LA.

What You'll Do
Develop a monthly content calendar based on general topic guidelines, bringing your own ideas, angles, and storytelling to each post
Create static graphics and short-form video content (Reels), including editing raw video footage
Write captions in Hope's established brand voice, including thoughtful hashtag selection
Adapt and resize content for different placements (Feed, Stories, Reels, Facebook) as needed
Submit drafts for approval on schedule and incorporate feedback through a timely revision process
Monitor basic performance metrics and flag content trends or top performers

Genuine creativity and a strong eye for visual aesthetics — you can work within a brand while still bringing fresh ideas
Strong writing instincts and ability to adapt your voice to match an established brand tone
Self-starter who can own a content calendar from concept to scheduling without heavy hand-holding
Reliable communicator who responds promptly and meets deadlines consistently
Sensitivity to emotionally resonant content — this audience is navigating grief, and the tone must always feel safe and grounded

Create static posts and Reels
Edit video footage as needed
Follow Hope's brand guidelines for graphics and overall aesthetics
Write copy in Hope's brand voice for all captions and on-screen text
